肺泡上皮细胞（pulmonary alveolar epithelial cells，PAEpiC）提取于人肺组织，由肺泡Ⅰ型和Ⅱ型上皮细胞组成，占肺内表面积的99%以上。I型细胞是指胞质延伸超过内表面积95%的大型鳞状细胞，含有水通道蛋白，并表现出任何哺乳动物细胞类型的最高水渗透性。
